SQL Clustering will not impact installation of Forecaster (or any other application).  From Forecaster’s point of view, there will only be one instance of SQL.  The additional SQL Servers in the cluster are handled by SQL itself, no need for you or anyone to copy databases or anything like that.

Forecaster’s Connection Manager will have a single entry that will point to the Forecaster database. In the event of a failure of one of the clustered Forecaster databases, SQL will handle the switch to the new Forecaster database automatically and no changes will be needed in the desktop installations of Forecaster or the IIS installation of Forecaster’s web access.

If DirectLink is used to connect FRx to the Forecaster database, no changes will be needed to the Forecaster ODBC.
