Upgrading from a previous release of Management Reporter
You are not required to manually uninstall a previous version of Management Reporter if you are
installing Management Reporter 2012 Cumulative Update 7. To use Management Reporter 2012
Cumulative Update 7, you must upgrade your Management Reporter database and install updated
versions of all Management Reporter components. Management Reporter will not operate correctly if
there is a version mismatch between the database, the server components, the client components,
and the data provider(s).
For more information about the upgrade process, see the Management Reporter installation guide (attached).
Note: Before you begin the upgrade process, we highly recommend that you create backups of your
Management Reporter database.
When you install Cumulative Update 7, the Management Reporter 2012 process service stops until the
Management Reporter database is updated to the current schema version. After the database is
updated, you must manually start the process service again using the Configuration Console.
Note: After each update, clear the browser cache for Web Viewer, or refresh the web browser
(Ctrl+F5). If the browser cache is not cleared, reports are not displayed correctly.
